Design and Optimization Analysis of Srichakra Shaped Conformal Antenna for Off-Body Communication Applications
摘要
A srichakra-shaped antenna is designed, optimized, and analyzed for the operational characteristics in planar and conformal modes. The proposed design is modeled on liquid crystal polymer (LCP) and polyimide substrate materials for conformal analysis and the optimized design is implemented on a polyimide substrate. The antenna is designed to resonate at three bands with bandwidths of 1.32, 5.84, and 4.64 GHz with polyimide, bandwidths of 1.25, 5.82, and 8.937 GHz with LCP substrate material. The optimization analysis has been carried out in this work for impedance matching (50 ohms) with dimensional parametric values of track width (Wf), and gap width (S) for the polyimide substrate and LCP materials are 0.264 mm, 1.5 mm, and 0.29 mm and 1.5 mm respectively. The body placement analysis of the proposed antenna was performed using the human hand and leg phantom models, and the SAR was less than 1.6 w/kg at 2.45 GHz, 5.42 GHz, and 12.5 GHz, respectively. Applications like LTE, Wi-Fi, 5G, and X-band communication can be served by the designed antenna.
