Design and analysis of CPW-fed multiband antenna for bluetooth and X-band applications with SAR analysis on human head phantom
摘要
This proposed research reports a novel dual-band antenna specifically designed for narrow Bluetooth (2.402–2.480 GHz) and wide X-Band (8.00–12.0 GHz) wireless applications. The proposed antenna is a CPW-fed designed on an FR4 substrate with a dielectric permittivity of 4.40 and a loss tangent of 0.02. The two bands are obtained by embedding anchor-shaped ground for Bluetooth and rectangular stub attached with microstrip generating X-Band. The feature of the proposed design is occupying an area of 360 mm2 and ease of integration including modeling of 50Ω SMA connector in a simulation environment for better-simulated results. Comparison of results is investigated in simulation and measurement environment for validation. The antenna offers very efficient stable radiation patterns and a maximum measured gain of 5.442 dBi suggesting the proposed design is well suited for dual-band applications. Additionally, the proposed antenna is also subjected to SAR analysis for on-body applications in both the narrow Bluetooth and X-band.
