<p>Octa-port MIMO antenna with dual-band characteristics is presented. The offset-tapered feed with three etched circular-slots is presented on the top surface of the dielectric with a permittivity of 2.33 and thickness of 0.254&#xa0;mm. The opposite surface is printed with ground which is achieved by merging rectangular-ellipse patches and inclusive of etched rectangular-slot. A thin strip is also merged with ground which is part and is responsible for narrow-band extraction. The Octa-port MIMO antenna occupies an area of 2975&#xa0;mm<sup>2</sup> which is also micro-machined at the center to reduce the effects of the surface waves. The MIMO configuration achieves the impedance bandwidth of 3.476–3.875&#xa0;GHz and 6.84–80.0&#xa0;GHz. The port-to-port isolation is more than 20.0&#xa0;dB. The diversity parameters include ECC (Band 1 &lt; 0.0003, Band 2 &lt; 0.001), DG (Band 1 &gt; 9.995&#xa0;dB, Band 2 <InlineEquation ID="IEq1"> <InlineMediaObject> <ImageObject Color="BlackWhite" FileRef="11276_2025_3943_Article_IEq1.gif" Format="GIF" Height="11" Rendition="HTML" Resolution="72" Type="Linedraw" Width="17" /> </InlineMediaObject> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(\cong \)</EquationSource> <EquationSource Format="MATHML"><math> <mo>≅</mo> </math></EquationSource> </InlineEquation> 10.0&#xa0;dB), TARC (Band 1 &lt; − 5.0&#xa0;dB, Band 2 &lt; − 10.0&#xa0;dB) and CCL (&lt; 0.32&#xa0;b/s/Hz, Band 2 &lt; 0.10&#xa0;b/s/Hz) The conformal-analysis is also carried out at 0°, 15°, 30°, and 45° with no change in the operating bandwidths corresponding to Band 1 and Band 2. The SAR analysis at selected frequency values is below 1.60&#xa0;W/Kg with a maximum measured peak gain of 5.95&#xa0;dBi, efficiency of more than 80%, and desired 2-D radiation patterns.</p>
