<p>Zr-MOF (UiO-67) was synthesized through the solvothermal technique, designed with an inorganic base of Zr<sub>6</sub>O<sub>4</sub>(OH)<sub>4</sub> and 1,1-biphenyl-4,4-dicarboxylic acid (BPDC) as the organic linker. The obtaining MOF was verified through its characterization with measurements of: Surface Acidity, ATR-FTIR, SEM, and BET; these studies revealed that the structural characteristics of Zr-MOF (UiO-67) are zones similar to those of the reference. The determination of the adsorption of 4-Nitrophenol (4-NF) and 2,4-Dinitrophenol (2,4-DNF) on Zr-MOF (UiO-67) was carried out in a batch system with stirring until saturation of adsorbent. All collected samples were measured in a Shimadzu UVmini–1240 spectrophotometer at wavelengths of 317&#xa0;nm for 4-NF and 2,4-DNF. The determination of the adsorption capacity of the studied material was calculated by the difference between the initial concentration (20&#xa0;mg L<sup>−1</sup>) and the concentration of saturation of the adsorbent. The adsorption capacity results of the synthesized adsorbent were: 9.97&#xa0;mg (g Ads.)<sup>−1</sup> and 9.55&#xa0;mg (g Ads.)<sup>−1</sup> for 4-NF and 2,4-DNF, respectively. The obtained adsorption capacities indicate that the synthesized support is efficient for the removal of the contaminants present in an aqueous matrix.</p>
