摘要

The frequent use of antibiotics in aquaculture industry has led to the persistence of antibiotic residues, and the proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB). Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive reviews about these. This review identified gaps in understanding the full impact of antibiotic use in aquaculture on both the eco-environment and human health, summarized the residual situation of widely consumed antibiotics in aquatic environments, sediments and organisms. Additionally, the distribution and risks of ARGs and ARB resulting from the use of various antibiotics in aquaculture were analyzed. Furthermore, through bibliometric analysis, this review presents the current research status of antibiotics and their resistance genes in aquaculture environments and predicts future research trends. Using data from the Web of Science database, the analysis covered 4502 literatures from 2000 to 2023, focusing on keyword trends, country contributions, institutional collaborations, journal impacts, and author contributions.
