<p>It is becoming increasingly widespread for pharmaceutical waste to become a concern in soil, water, and human health. In this review, general motives of pharmaceutical pollutants all these fields are characterized, their environmental pathways and fate are outlined, bioaccumulation processes in every kind of ecosystem trophic level, including higher trophic levels down to the base of all food chains valleys channels streams rivers every level associated with ecology or health effects resulting. Major sources of pharmaceuticals in the environment include manufacturing processes, improper disposal through landfills and drains, agricultural runoff from veterinary medicines used to treat livestock or pets, and human excretion. Once in the environment, these pollutants can remain as xenobiotics that accumulate biologically and pose ecological risk s and potential health hazards to mankind. Soil pollutants with a pharmaceutical character can break up microbial communities, harm the health of land, hinder plant growth, and ultimately reduce crop yields. This comprehensive review also explores advancements in detection and remediation technologies, such as adsorption, advanced oxidation processes, and bioremediation, which show promise in reducing pharmaceutical residues in the environment. Finally, regulatory frameworks and guidelines are examined as examples of coordinated action to address pharmaceutical pollution. By synthesizing current research and identifying knowledge gaps, we emphasize the need for sustainable practices and improved waste management to safeguard both environmental and human health.</p>
