<p>Understanding variations in morphological patterns has proven crucial for many management strategies aimed at protecting endangered plant species. The study includes a detailed morphometric analysis of <i>Valeriana wallichii</i> DC. to identify its morphological diversity, which is crucial for developing effective conservation strategies. Additionally, the sex ratio of the species was assessed, providing valuable insights into its reproductive dynamics and ecological interactions. Morphological parameters showed considerable differences (p &lt; 0.05) among Fifteen populations. Eleven traits were subjected to descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis. A highly significant positive correlation has been noted between basal leaf width and number of flowers per plant (r = 0.944), while peduncular leaf width showed a negative correlation with petiole length (r = −0.437) and rhizome length (r = −0.43). Traits such as petiole length, peduncle length and rhizome length were contributing most to the separation among populations. Morphological cluster analysis based on Ward method revealed two distinct clusters across all the studied populations. Overall, the focus of this study is to investigate the evolutionary relationship among hermaphroditic, female, and gynomonoecious populations. Additionally, it strives to unravel the intricate interactions between reproductive strategies, morphological traits, and environmental influences in <i>V. wallichii</i>, aiming to deepen our understanding of the species adaptability and resilience.</p>
