<p>Neoliberalism has become normalized in our American way of life, and we often do not realize just how much we are influenced by it. This inability to identify neoliberalism as a problem means we are also missing opportunities to fight against it, which means we have blinders inhibiting our chances to course-correct and educate. This problem may be even more dynamic for teachers encumbered with a host of top-down demands, many of which are neoliberal. This essay is a call-to-action for Teacher Education Programs, inquiring and tugging for assistance in how we can help teachers not only decipher and understand neoliberalism but fight against it, even under fugitivity. Teachers must become the trickster figure in this battle, and little research is available to guide us on how to do that. This exploratory essay argues that there is a gap in teacher knowledge regarding neoliberal policy, and it explores ways Teacher Education Programs may help remove those inhibiting blinders so we can explore how to fight the neoliberal agenda attacking education.</p>
