This study presents a comprehensive assessment of Urban Ecological Security (UES) by examining the intricate interplay between urbanization pressure and ecological sensitivity within the broader nexus of urban development and ecological dynamics. As cities continue to expand rapidly, evaluating UES has become a critical element in the pursuit of sustainable urban development. The primary objective of this research is to assess the ecological security status of rapidly growing metropolitan regions by applying advanced hybrid analytical models. The findings contribute to methodological advancements in UES assessment, offering a robust framework for analysing ecological risks and resilience. Furthermore, the study provides actionable insights to inform land-use optimization and sustainable planning strategies aimed at enhancing urban ecological integrity. By emphasizing UES as a core pillar of urban planning, this research aligns with global sustainability imperatives and advocates for environmentally responsible urban transformation.
