<p>This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of cowpea grain (CPG) mixed with wheat bran (WB) supplementation on feed intake, digestibility, body weight change, and economic benefit, as well as to determine the optimal level of this supplement using yearling Sekota sheep fed a natural pasture hay basal diet. Twenty male sheep with an initial body weight of 22.65&#xa0;kg were stratified into five and four animals in each stratum, and they were fed for 3 months for feeding and 10 days for digestibility trials. Treatments were randomly assigned to each animal in a stratum (block). The experimental feeds were grass hay ad libitum + 75&#xa0;g WB (T1 control), T1 + 150&#xa0;g concentrate (T2), T1 + 250&#xa0;g concentrate (T3), and T1 + 350&#xa0;g concentrate (T4). The concentrate mix (CM) was prepared using 33% soaked, roasted, coarsely ground CPG and 67% WB. The results of the experiment showed that significant (<i>p</i> &lt; 0.0001) rise in DM (600&#xa0;g to 879&#xa0;g), protein (55&#xa0;g to 119&#xa0;g), and metabolizable energy (6.1 to 9.8&#xa0;MJ) intakes were recorded when the supplement level was increased from 0 to 350&#xa0;g/day (T1 to T4). Similarly, as supplement level increased from 0 to 350&#xa0;g/day, improvements in dry matter and protein digestibility, average daily gain (31&#xa0;g/day to 115&#xa0;g/day), and net return (12.8 to 480.6 Ethiopian birr) (<i>p</i> &lt; 0.0001) were noted, suggesting that this study did not reach the optimal level of supplementation. Future studies are therefore necessary to ascertain the optimal supplement level, which involves administering more than 350&#xa0;g/d/sheep supplement level while maintaining all present experiment settings.</p>
