<p>Biotechnology has been a very important alternative to solve plant propagation problems in the forestry sector. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the potential use of bacteria as sources of auxins in the micropropagation of <i>Corymbia citriodora</i>, using the following isolates: <i>Exiguobacterium sibiricum</i> 19RP3L2-7, <i>Pantoea vagans</i> 45URP4-1 and <i>Bacillus</i> sp. 58CRP4-3, these bacteria have already been characterized as having the ability to synthesize auxins. Experiments were set up to evaluate the influence of these isolates on in vitro multiplication of shoots and in vitro rooting, comparing them with treatments that used synthetic auxins, in addition to evaluating the effect of these microorganisms on seedling survival during pre-acclimatization and acclimatization. Regarding the effect on in vitro multiplication of explants, inoculation with <i>Exiguobacterium sibiricum</i> 19RP3L2-7 without addition of auxin was effective in the production of shoots, reaching a higher number than the control in the first subculture. Inoculation with <i>Pantoea vagans</i> 45URP4-1 decreased the multiplication and in vitro rooting of <i>C. citriodora</i> explants, and plantlet inoculated with <i>Bacillus sp</i>. 58CRP4-3 without exogenous addition of phytohormones reached a rooting percentage similar to treatments with auxin. In pre-acclimatization and acclimatization, it was found that inoculation with bacteria increases seedling mortality under the conditions applied in the study. The strain <i>Exiguobacterium sibiricum</i> 19RP3L2-7 is an effective source of auxins in in vitro multiplication and <i>Bacillus</i> sp. 58CRP4-3 effective in rooting and can be used in co-cultivation with <i>C. citriodora</i> explants.</p>
