<p>In this paper, we bring up a path that can be drawn from Jaśkowski’s discussive logic to the modern approach to paraconsistent logic. In this history, da Costa’s legacy has played a crucial role as well. We refer to selected recent investigations and perspectives on paraconsistent logic, in particular, discussive logic, including ideas and results that were presented at the <i>6th World Congress of Paraconsistency in Toruń</i> and the <i>2nd Stanisław Jaśkowski Memorial</i>, 2022.</p>
