Solving Wave Problems of Acoustic Emission Using a Quantum-Spectral Approach

Based on the authors’ long-term research of the acoustic emission phenomenon, its causes, and wave properties, this study introduced a quantum-spectral approach to solving wave problems. The well-known problem solution of elastic wave propagation in a plate was used to clarify the details of the proposed approach application. The solution was reduced to final formulas, allowing numerical wave-process calculations. Some features of wave propagation in plates of different thicknesses were also analyzed and discussed in detail. The proposed approach applicability to calculations of newly formed spherical cavities is demonstrated.
