Effect of Surface Textures on the Adhesion and Friction Properties of TiCrAlSiN Coated WC-8Co
摘要
In this work, line array and dimple array textures were fabricated on the surface of WC-8Co using laser processing technology. The effect of surface textures on the adhesion and friction properties of TiCrAlSiN-coated WC-8Co was investigated. The results show that introducing textures significantly improved the adhesion of the TiCrAlSiN coating to the WC-8Co substrate. The adhesion of the specimen with the dimple array texture increased by 43.3% compared to the specimen without texture. Under different sliding speeds, the specimens with textures exhibited lower friction coefficients than those without. Notably, at a sliding speed of 500 rpm, the average friction coefficient of the specimen with a dimple array was only 0.389, a reduction of 19.6% compared to the specimen without texture. The improvement in friction performance is primarily attributed to the enhanced adhesion between the substrate and the coating, as well as the ability of the textures to store wear debris, resulting in smoother friction surfaces.
