<p>In this paper, we formulate an advanced approach to the design of karst protection of road embankments using geosynthetic materials. In contrast to the standard method, this approach uses calculations made for both collapse and subsidence karst deformations. In this case, the adopted criteria include the calculated diameter of the karst collapse under the embankment of the linear structure and the maximum calculated diameter of the cavity in karst soils. Analytical methods for calculating karst protection of road embankments using geosynthetic materials are developed based on simulation and numerical studies of the stress-strain state of the base and geomaterial during the formation of karst subsidence.</p>
