<p>The article is based on the materials of the report at the international geotechnical conference named after Z. G. Ter-Martirosyan (MGSU, September 2024). The problem of the stress-strain state of a soil cylinder is studied in an elastic-viscous formulation using the rheological model of A. Z. Ter-Martirosyan and the Kelvin–Voigt model for volumetric deformation.</p>
