Numerical Solution for Evaluating Settlement of Expansive Structured Soil Subgrade Under Time-Dependent Loading

This paper describes a consolidation model for structured clay that considers the upward movement of the boundary under time-dependent loading. The structure of the lower subsoil is gradually destroyed from bottom to top, and the settlement of the foundation increases as the boundary moves upward. The numerical model considers changes in the loading rate of the subgrade and the thickness of the foundation with the upward movement of the boundary.
