<p>The article presents the results of the validation of the geotechnical finite element (FE) model of the high-rise building. The model was validated based on pile test and settlement monitoring results. The validation was performed in two stages. During the first stage, the adequacy and accuracy of the FE model and its parameters are evaluated based on the pile load test data. During the second stage, the results of numerical modeling of the high-rise building’s settlement was compared with field monitoring data. The validation involves both visual comparison of the deformation diagrams and application of statistical criteria. It has been defined that application of statistical criteria supplements visual assessment and provides with quantitative characteristics of discrepancies. Their acceptable values may be taken similar to those used to interpret laboratory and in-situ test results.</p>
