<p>Using the method of numerical simulation, the formation of localized adiabatic shear bands in the sheets made of AZ31 magnesium alloy is studied by dynamic punching at the following velocities: 10, 25, 50 and 100 m/s. The computations involve the alloy material fracture, using the critical level of specific energy of shear deformations as a&#xa0;fracture criterion.</p>
