Structural, thermal, spectroscopic and some more interesting properties of ammonium sulphate doped l-glutamic acid hydrochloride single crystal
摘要
A novel ammonium sulphate-doped L‑glutamic acid hydrochloride crystal is synthesized using a renowned method of slow evaporation. The synthesized crystal is analyzed by characterization methods, such as XRD, spectroscopic analysis, scanning electron microscopy, thermal analysis and second harmonic analysis. The XRD analysis indubitably discovers its structure and space group. The title compound has well transmission in the visible region, and the energy band gap is calculated. The functional group is ascertained from Fourier transform infra-red analysis. The photo-luminescent behavior of the grown crystal was scrutinized. The obtained thermal stability is 219.65 °C. Eventually, the second harmonic generation analysis is done for the grown crystal, which is compared to the reference sample of the KDP crystal.
