摘要

Composite materials with a metal matrix are formed by mixing a Cu-Ni-Zr powder in the ratio of 1:1:1 into the plate of a Grade 2 titanium alloy. It is shown that during processing in the course of contact between the tool and the material the powders intermix with the metal matrix and form intermetallic particles of different compositions in the stir zone. The particles are of two types. The first type includes intermetallic particles of binary and ternary systems due to an interaction between the powder and the titanium matrix. The second-type intermetallic particles are formed by means of a gradual wear of the tool and stirring of its fragments into the processed material with the formation of titanium nickelide of a different composition.
