<p>A&#xa0;possibility of enhancing the maximum (threshold) amplitude of pulsed magnetic fields <i>B</i><sub>th</sub> generated by a&#xa0;cylindrical, thick-walled steel inductor is examined, while remaining in the range of elastic deformations. For this purpose, a&#xa0;material with spatially nonuniform resistivity ρ<sub><i>e</i></sub> is used. The analyzed resistivity profiles reveal the possibility of more than a&#xa0;double increase in the threshold magnetic field <i>B</i><sub>th</sub>.</p>

A possibility of enhancing the maximum (threshold) amplitude of pulsed magnetic fields Bth generated by a cylindrical, thick-walled steel inductor is examined, while remaining in the range of elastic deformations. For this purpose, a material with spatially nonuniform resistivity ρe is used. The analyzed resistivity profiles reveal the possibility of more than a double increase in the threshold magnetic field Bth.
