Dynamic Fragmentation of Ceramics Based on Carbon and Silicon Carbide
摘要
Cylindrical samples made of siliconized graphite SG-P0.5 are experimentally studied in a wide range of strain rates (10-4 to 103 1/s). Quasi-static and dynamic loading is performed under conditions of fragment preservation. Quasi-static compression is applied and acoustic emission signals are recorded in situ. The data processing and the analysis of the fragmentation statistics show the destruction of siliconized graphite under the loading conditions.
