Study of Structural Heterogeneity and Mechanical Properties of Steel Rods After Helical Rolling and Accelerated Cooling

摘要

The paper studies the influence of accelerated cooling after helical rolling on the structure and mechanical properties of X70 steel in different sections of the rod. Accelerated cooling is carried out in two modes: cooling and holding at a temperature of 530°C (mode I) and cooling to a temperature of 200°C without holding (mode II). It is found that conditions of cooling affect the fraction and morphology of the bainitic phase. This in turn determines different microhardness and strength in different sections of the rods.
