Study of the specific features of the synthesis of 2,2-bis(4-aminophenyl)adamantane for obtaining optically transparent polyimides
摘要
The specific features of the synthesis of 2,2-bis(4-aminophenyl)adamantane by the reaction of adamantan-2-one and aniline in an acidic medium were studied. The influence of the synthesis conditions on the composition of the reaction mixture, yield and purity of the final product was demonstrated. The reaction was found to proceed through the formation of intermediate products, 2-(4-aminophenyl)adamantan-2-ol and N-phenyladamantan-2-imine, with the highest yield of the target compound being 70% in the process carried out at 160 °C for 30 h and the molar ratio of the reagents adamantan-2-one: aniline: hydrochloric acid = 1: 6: 2. The synthesized diamine and dianhydrides of 4,4′-oxydiphthalic and 4,4′-(perfluoropropane-2,2-diyl)diphthalic acids were used as a basis to obtain optically transparent copolyimides (transmission at 400 nm (T400) 82–84%) with a low yellowness index (1.10–1.20) and high thermal-oxidative stability (5% weight loss temperature (T5%) 520–525 °C).
