<p>Convenient syntheses of functionalized 1,2-bis(phosphoryl)propanes and their analogs, containing P—C(C—N)—C—P units, based on phosphonoacetic ester, allyl bromide, and epichlorohydrin have been developed. The addition of diethyl phosphite to intermediate 1-(dialkylaminomethyl)vinylphosphonates affords new target products in high yields. The resulting compounds are structural analogs of amino carboxylic acids and natural pyrophosphates and are of interest as promising bioactive substances, water-soluble polydentate ligands, and effective extractants.</p>
