<p>New iridium(<span>iii</span>) complexes with 3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazine derivatives as <i>N,N</i>-type ligands were synthesized. The photophysical properties of the complexes were studied. The applicability of the complexes for biovisualization of, e.g., <i>Vero</i> cells selectively accumulated in endoplasmic reticulum is demonstrated.</p>

New iridium(iii) complexes with 3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazine derivatives as N,N-type ligands were synthesized. The photophysical properties of the complexes were studied. The applicability of the complexes for biovisualization of, e.g., Vero cells selectively accumulated in endoplasmic reticulum is demonstrated.
