摘要

Chemiluminescence was detected when mixing aqueous solutions of EuCl2 and (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6. Analysis of the spectral composition of the observed luminescence demonstrated that its emitter is the excited ion (Eu3+)*. The photoluminescence spectra of the reaction mass were investigated. The ions Eu3+ and Ce3+ are the products of the redox reaction that takes place when the solutions are mixed; they are formed as a result of electron transfer from Eu2+ to Ce4+. The yields of chemiluminescence (2 • 10−12 Einstein mol−1) and excitation of the ion Eu3+ (η = 1.05 • 10−10) were determined for this reaction.
