In situ spectroelectrochemical and nanomechanical studies in the atomic force microscopy mode of the oxidation—reduction processes of poly-N,N′-ethylenebis(3-methoxysalicylideneimine)
摘要
Redox processes in the polymer film of poly-N,N′-ethylenebis(3-methoxysalicylideneimine were studied for the first time by in situ methods including electron spin resonance spectroscopy, ultraviolet—visible—near-infrared spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The integration of the obtained data with the results of electrochemical nanomechanical atomic force microscopy measurements allowed us to determine causes of a low electrochemical oxidative polymerization efficiency of this compound and a rapid loss of its electrochemical activity in the oxidation—reduction processes.
