Biomass-derived Pothos-based catalysts functionalized by plasma techniques to boost chemical reactions
摘要
The current research aims to advance green chemistry goals and practically apply non-thermal plasma technology in preparing environmentally friendly and efficient catalysts for the chemical synthesis of imidazoles. Optimal utilization of residual biomass from natural materials in the synthesis and production of catalytic materials can help reduce pollution from chemicals while maximizing the inherent properties and characteristics of these biomass structures. This research aims to develop Pothos graphene oxide catalysts with high catalytic activity by introducing carboxylic acid and amine functional groups on the catalyst surface using non-thermal plasma technology. This method has an advantage over conventional chemical methods by avoiding using chemicals to create functional groups on the catalyst, aligning with the principles of green chemistry. Based on the obtained results, we successfully created an amine functional group using non-thermal plasma technology with only N2 and H2 gases on the surface of a catalyst derived from a biomass source. This method offers higher efficiency compared to catalysts prepared by chemical methods and shows high selectivity in producing imidazole derivatives. Additionally, the catalyst remains stable during the reaction process and can be reused multiple times.
