<p>The Directorate General for Competition at the European Commission enforces competition law in the areas of antitrust, the Digital Markets Act, foreign subsidy regulation, merger control, and State aid control. After providing a general presentation of the role of the Chief Competition Economist’s team (CET), this article surveys some of the main developments at the Directorate General for Competition over 2024/2025. In particular, the article reviews the Teva Copaxone Decision in antitrust; the analysis of network effects in the airline industry in the context of mergers; and the design of guidelines under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation.</p>
