Narrow-Band Entangled Photon-Pair Source for a Quantum Repeater Based on Solid-State Quantum Memory
摘要
We present the results of experimental study of nondegenerate spontaneous parametric downconversion in a single-resonance optical parametric oscillator with two PPKTP crystals. The possibility of generating narrow-band polarization-entangled photons, one of which has a wavelength of 580 nm and a spectral width of 8.0 ± 1.5 MHz, has been shown. This makes such a source of photon pairs compatible with solid-state quantum memory based on a Y2SiO5 : Eu3+ crystal, which is promising for quantum repeaters.
