Strategic approaches to enhancing employee resilience in public sector work environments: an importance-performance analysis
摘要
The employees of an organization must be resilient to survive, particularly during challenging times like such as COVID-19. The research explores three interconnected areas: employee-organization relationships, workplace environment, and employees’ psychological and physical health. Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was used to identify gaps between the perceived importance of resilience factors such as supportive relationships, crisis training, and emotional support and their actual implementation. Public sector organizations can enhance long-term stability by prioritizing adaptability-focused strategies. This study offers managers and policymakers practical ideas to enhance employee satisfaction and keep organizations resilient during current and future crises. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the alignment of resilience strategies with broader organizational goals. It recommends further research across diverse sectors to assess long-term resilience outcomes, providing a comparative framework for effective resilience strategies.
