The investigation has been informed by a bibliometric analysis employing VOS viewer, and considers the necessity of responsible behaviour in respect of employee health and safety, especially in the aftermath of the vulnerability experienced by those employees in the context of the pandemic. The objective of the present article is to assess varied behaviours, linkages between factors and behavioural patterns related to such protection across different types of companies and functional areas. To this end, a direct survey was conducted, and a range of analytical techniques were employed, including non-parametric tests, contingency tables and factor analysis by principal components on global hypotheses. The results obtained demonstrated differential implementation of safety measures and rest time, as well as heightened concern for training and contingency plans due to the effect of the pandemic. Finally, we modelled relationships between the different safety measures, as well as the duration of sick leave by area or department.
