Application of GRS codes to some optiaml quantum convolutional codes

Quantum convolutional codes are an important extension of quantum error correction codes theory compared with quantum block codes. In this paper, we first construct some Hermitian self-orthogonal GRS codes and extended GRS codes. Based on these MDS codes, we propose several new classes of MDS quantum convolutional codes. It is worth noting that some optimal quantum convolutional codes with new parameters can be generated by our construction methods.
