Detection of polarization multiplexing by quantum squeezed states in communication systems

Multidimensional modulation technology has been widely used in classical optical communication information transmission and also in quantum communications. Polarization multiplexing (PM) multidimensional modulation using quantum coherent states as information carrier is a research hot spot in quantum multidimensional modulation system. Lots of related research proved that the squeezed state is superior to the traditional coherent state modulation in quantum communication system. In this paper, we propose a new multidimensional modulation method that is the squeezed state is applied to PM multidimensional modulation by the square root method (SRM). The simulation results show that PM multidimensional modulation with quantum squeezed state has lower error probability than the PM multidimensional modulation with coherent state.
