<p>School closures induced by the Covid-19 pandemic led to concerns about students’ learning. This article evaluates the effect of school closures on students’ learning in Uzbekistan, using a unique dataset that allowed for the assessment of change in learning over time. The findings show that test scores in mathematics (math) for grade-5 students in the country improved over time by 0.29 standard deviations, despite school closures. Students assessed in 2019 in grade 5 and reassessed in 2021 also showed improvement by an average of 0.72 of a standard deviation over the 2&#xa0;years. The article demonstrates learning continuity in math in Uzbekistan despite Covid-induced disruptions to schooling and explores the reasons for the lack of learning loss.</p>
