<p>To adequately address the research gap in sustainable transportation, this study employs upper echelons theory to explore the adoption of electric vehicle policies by transportation companies, focusing on the role of responsible leadership. Unlike previous research, which primarily relies on institutional policies or pollution taxes to predict transportation development, it examines how a chief executive officer's responsible leadership fosters a company’s willingness to implement corporate governance policies, subsequently driving the adoption of electric vehicle policies in Taiwan transportation companies. Additionally, this relationship is moderated by government subsidies. The result of the analysis supports the research model in this study and contributes novel insights into the intersection of organizational leadership, corporate governance, and electric vehicle policies to realize transportation sustainability.</p>

摘要
