Does Public Service Motivation Foster Employees’ Innovative Behaviors? An Empirical Study From Pakistan
摘要
Drawing on self-determination theory, our study aims to examine the influence of public service motivation on employees’ innovative work behavior, with a specific focus on the mediating role of job satisfaction. This study used a quantitative method and gathered survey data from 205 public employees from Dera Ghazi-Khan, Pakistan. The Proposed research framework and hypotheses were empirically tested with a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The findings revealed that public service motivation significantly and positively influences both job satisfaction and innovative work behavior. Moreover, PSM also indirectly influences innovative work behavior through job satisfaction, confirming the hypothesized mediation mechanism.
