Information Disclosure, Public Trust, and Social Satisfaction as Indicators of Good Governance and Quality of Life: Evidence from Local Administrative Organizations in Rural Thailand
摘要
This study explores how information disclosure, public trust, and service satisfaction function as interrelated indicators of good governance and perceived quality of life in rural Thailand. Using survey data from 500 respondents across 67 Local Government Organizations and Structural Equation Modeling, the findings show that transparency is the strongest predictor of governance quality, both directly and through trust and satisfaction. The model explains 51.8% of governance perception variance. Results also highlight the mediating role of community networks, underscoring the continuing importance of culturally embedded trust in shaping governance outcomes in rural contexts.
