Transcending Duty Calls: Internalizing Spiritual Dimensions for Enhanced Career Satisfaction in Public Service Organizations
摘要
The study investigates the integration of spirituality within the framework of Self-determination Theory to understand its impact on employee engagement and career satisfaction. Data were collected from 113 government employees in Indonesia. Structural equation modelling was employed for data analysis, revealing a significant positive relationship between spiritual autonomy, competence, relatedness, work engagement, and career satisfaction. The study contributes to theoretical understanding by extending Self-determination Theory to incorporate spirituality and offers actionable insights for public leaders to create environments that promote holistic well-being.
