<p>This study examined the external factors influencing project performance in public university construction projects in the Amhara region. The research explores the impact of environmental factors, project recruitment, information technology, and stakeholder participation on project outcomes. Data was gathered from 41 construction projects across six public universities using stratified random sampling, with analysis conducted through regression and Pearson’s correlation. Results indicate that environmental considerations have the most significant impact on project performance, followed by recruitment, IT integration, and stakeholder engagement. The findings highlight the need for strategic management of these factors to improve project efficiency and success.</p>
