Engaged employees, especially the frontline professionals in the healthcare sector, play a vital role in overcoming the challenges like Covid-19. This research determines how a sustainable leadership style leads to workplace engagement through the sequential mediation of organizational support and gratitude. It draws on the broaden-and-build theory and endeavors to look beyond traditional leadership philosophies. The findings of the current study will inspire the administration of healthcare institutions to invest resources that foster a supportive environment for their workers by employing sustainable leadership practices that may minimize the negative impacts of overwork faced by frontline personnel during pandemics like COVID-19.
