<p>Acomprehensive analysis of <i>Crocus specious</i> M. growing in the Goris region of Armenia was conducted. The chemical composition of the EtOH extract of plant stigmas was studied using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to reveal 28 compounds. The dominant constituents were L-(+)-ascorbic acid 2,6-dihexadecanoate (30.812 wt%) and hexadecane (2.999 wt%). The antioxidant properties of the extract were investigated using a kinetic method based on the model reaction of initiated cumene oxidation. The effective antioxidant content was established as 0.83 × 10<sup>–4</sup> M; their activity, 2.41 × 10<sup>5</sup> L/mol·s at 384 K, which exceeded some synthetic antioxidants. The elemental composition of the stigmas included 31 elements as determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES). High contents of potassium (28,174.04 mg/kg) and iron (1,471.12 mg/kg) were revealed. The contents of heavy metals did not exceed the maximum permissible concentrations. The results expanded knowledge about the chemical composition and properties of <i>Crocus specious</i> M. and opened up prospects for its use as a natural antioxidant.</p>
