New Potentiometric Sensor for Determination of Tenoxicam
摘要
The possibility of spectrophotometric determination of tenoxicam (I) based on the extraction of its ion associate (IA) with the polymethine dye 5-thiocyanato-1,3,3-trimethyl-2-{(1E)-3-[(2E)-1,3,3-trimethyl-1H-indol-2-ylidine]propenyl}-3H-indolium chloride (II) was demonstrated. The maximum extraction of the IA with toluene was achieved at a pH of 6.0 – 11.0 of the aqueous phase and a dye concentration of (1.0 – 2.0) × 10–4 M. The molar absorption coefficient of the IA was 7.8 × 104. The detection limit of II was 0.49 μg/ml. The developed extraction-spectrophotometric determination method could determine tenoxicam concentrations of 1.0 – 20.1 μg/ml. The method was used to determine tenoxicam in pharmaceutical preparations (RSD = 0.82 – 1.52%).
