<p>Though various developments have occurred in the arena of cancer treatments, e.g. chemotherapy, these treatments have been associated with various adverse effects and the development of drug resistance. Thus, in this study, the effectiveness of the application of an integrated approach of nanoparticles and herbal extracts, along with platinum-based chemotherapy, is analyzed. Based on the reviewed studies in this manuscript, the findings of the existing studies have indicated the enhanced effectiveness of the aforementioned approach, which improves the potential use of phytochemicals to overcome the challenges associated with chemotherapy, along with improved anticancer effects.</p>
