<p>A method for quantitative determination of salvianolic acid B and rosmarinic acid by reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection (286 nm) using an Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column (4.6 × 150 mm, 5 μm), mobile phase MeCN – aqueous H<sub>3</sub>PO<sub>4</sub> (0.1%), elution rate 1 mL/min. Validation showed that the method was characterized by satisfactory metrological parameters. The limit of quantitation for salvianolic acid B and rosmarinic acid were 120 mg/mL and 110 mg/mL. The content of salvianolic acid B in roots of <i>Salvia miltiorrhiza</i> Bge. varied from 1.62 ± 0.02% to 2.15 ± 0.12%; of rosmarinic acid, from 0.04 ± 0.001% to 0.18 ± 0.008%, respectively. The content of salvianolic acid B in the aerial parts of <i>S. miltiorrhiza</i> varied from 0.09 ± 0.001% to 0.42 ± 0.004%; of rosmarinic acid, from 0.11 ± 0.001% to 0.12 ± 0.001%, respectively. Statistical processing of the results indicated that the relative error of the mean content of salvianolic acid B and rosmarinic acid was less than ±5.0% with a confidence probability of 95%.</p>
