摘要

The possibility of using silicon-containing porous particles as a carrier of the therapeutic molecule miR-34a to enhance its antitumor activity was investigated. It was shown by a liquid porometry method that commercially available Fluka 60 silicon nanoparticles could retain the miR-34a molecule in the pore space for a long time and provide a high degree of loading and retention of the microRNA. The proliferative activity of HeLa tumor cell cultures incubated with miR-34a loaded in Fluka 60 was suppressed by 35 – 25%. Free miR-34a had no effect on the proliferation of these cells. It was concluded that Fluka 60 is promising for use as a carrier for microRNA molecules.
