摘要

Two short peptides consisting of 13 and 9 amino-acid residues were obtained by solid-phase synthesis. The synthetic peptides were fragments of the endogenous kisspeptin sequence in which some amino acids were replaced by more hydrophobic ones. Such replacements from a chemical point of view should increase the chemical stability of the peptides in the body and from a biological point of view, increase the bioavailability of the peptide and its permeability through the BBB. Kisspeptins of lower vertebrates are genetically related to kisspeptins of higher mammals and humans, which allowed Danio rerio fish to be successfully used as a model organism for experimental pharmacology of neuropeptides. The discovered activity of the synthetic peptides in relation to the production of hypothalamic hormones showed that they were promising for further studies of the pharmacological action of kisspeptins.
