摘要

1H,1′H-[2,2′-Bipyrrole]-1,1′-disulfonic acid (BPDS) is easily synthesized and recognized as a new acidic catalyst via the reaction of 1H,1′H-2,2′-bipyrrole with chlorosulfonic acid. This reagent was used to prepare some novel bis-hydroquinoline derivatives (5a-f). Bis-hydroquinoline derivatives have been synthesized by the one-pot and seven-component reaction of bis-aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate in the presence of BPDS as an acidic and effective catalyst. All new products were characterized by using FT-IR, 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analyses. These bis-compounds present activities against both Gram-positive (M. luteus and B. cereus) and Gram-negative (P. aeruginosa and E. coli) bacteria. All synthesized hydroquinolines presented excellent antibacterial activity against strains of bacteria.
